“They must find it difficult…Those who have taken the authority as the truth, rather than the truth as the authority.”

-Gerald Massey, Egyptologist and poet..

I feel OK. What an experience.

Here is where it all melted.

I have 196k returning from break. 8k/16k level.

I am the BB in Hold’em.

First hand I see one flop in w/86 when calling a CO raise from the BB and ch/fold a QTT all red flop. I have 180k chips.

Next Hand.

Folded to me in the SB and raise with Q9 and Jimmy (mig.com) 3-bets the BB, I call. (-24k)

Flop: 7TJ

BOOYA!

I check-raise (-16k)

Turn: 2 bet/call (-16k)
River: T bet……………..tank………count down of his chips, look at the clock…………………..call. He has Ac9c, and the table is surprised but helluva call anyway. (-16k)

I have 108k.

VERY NEXT HAND

Folded to me on the button I raise AJ, Jimmy-mig.com 3-bets the SB!!!, I call (-24k)

Flop: 78T, he bets I call. (-8k)
Turn: K, he bets, I think about rasing but I’d rather make 2-bets on the river and not pay 3 to see, and call. (-16k)
River: 3, he bets, I fold.

And there I am. Grinded to a nub in 3 ****ing hands.

I am left w/60k.

Funny I stole the blinds in the NEXT hand in Hold’em w/AT and got to 72k. Then played some sick hands in Razz after, maybe saw on flop in O8, c/f.

This is all after running a Stud-Hi Squeeze play earlier.

Mickey opens w/a T 6, 6, 2, 3, all fold and TStoneMBD re-raises w/a 9:daimond: and I have 5 as a door and I snap-3-bet, (A 5)5 as I know Mickey will fold a T here, and TStone might even fold a 9 here thinking I can only play an over-pair this way.

Bring folds, Folded by Mickey and back to TStone and he thinks for ever and folds. And I show him the 5.

I played some of the best poker of my life. Against the best in the world.

It was a fantastic opportunity and I feel like I’ve improved immensely watching the best. Hopefully I’ll have time to write up more. I just hope to not run as bad next time if I get the opportunity.

Thanks for your support everyone,
Joe

There are 67 left.  We should run up to the money today, or close. (16)  I played very well and hope to catch some cards to keep up with the pack.  I have a decent seat today.

(Table 5)
Seat 1: Rafi Amit – 206,000
Seat 2: John Hanson – 32,000
Seat 3: Douglas Ganger – 199,500
Seat 4: Michael DeMichele – 319,500
Seat 5: Roy Thung – 16,000
Seat 6: Joe Bunevith – 159,500

Mike is an excellent player.  East Coast High Stake guy who I’ve played with.  There are a couple of PLO internet players and two really short stacks.

Run good on my time please, dealer!

50k HORSE today…

Run good one time!  I am really focused and may make some updates on FTSweat.com but no promises.

Ok, it’s my time.

Well, that didnt end well.

Thursday, June 19th, 2008

I took a huge gamble with 28% equity to try to get the chip lead.  I had 2345 but was pretty sure one of my opponents had X666, and there was one Ace out.  I tried to jam out the other low on 4th and got committed a bit.  Either way, I didnt get there obv.  I still had chips left as they jammed themselves all in and I had them covered.  I make 1/2 or scoop that pot, I would have been in great shape.  I busted out 40th.

I am debating playing the Omaha event today.  It’s the $10k World Championship event.  I am unsure as of this morning but may come around to it.
