The Dom Freeroll

Thursday, June 18th, 2009

Last night I went to dinner with a handful of nosebleed NL young-ins. They are all great guys. The line up was, TJorTJ, MagicNinja, ThatPFunk, jsnipes, CTS, DeathDonkey and myself. We went to Nobu at HardRock Casino and racked up a $1500 bill.

It’s custom in our crazy poker lives to “flip” for the bill. What we do is gamble for the one person who is going to pay. However, you can buy out by just paying in your share. I run epically bad at flips. I am always in the final draw and I have lost 2 out of the last 3. (granted small checks, but still)

So I told the boys I’m buying out. And went to pay my share when CTS says, “If you toss your card in, and I lose, I will pay the tab AND buy two bottles of Dom Perignon for the table.” I snapped called him on it and tossed my card in.

So we pick out a card, one at a time, those cards are “safe”. As we are getting down to the last cards, my card is live, and I can feel it coming again…

Then there were two cards left. Mine and CTS.

All I have to say is thanks Cole, the Dom was great!

Dear Rio, your poker room sucks. PS I Love You

Saturday, June 6th, 2009

Your dealers are awful.
No shuffle machines.
Cage is a huge fail.
Floor is clueless.
Chairs are uncomfortable.

But all this keeps the good players at the Bellagio, for that, I Love You!
